Bhubaneswar: Hours after BJP spokesperson Golak Mohapatra blasted Ganjam SP Asish Singh for working like a ruling BJD agent saying the Call Details Record (CDR) evincing his link with the Chhatrapur BJD councillor’s murder prime accused is fake one, BJD today advised the former to cooperate with police in investigation and said there is no smoke without fire.
“Golak Mohapatra is yet to be summoned by the police. Why he is behaving like this? He should cooperate with the police in the ongoing investigation so that the truth comes to fore,” said BJD spokesperson Pratap Keshari Deb at the State party office.
Maintaining that there is no smoke without fire, Deb said advised the BJP leader not to blame the Ganjam SP and dragging BJD into it.
“There is no smoke without fire. The prime murder accused has taken your name and instead of helping police in the investigation you (Golak Mohapatra) are targeting Ganjam SP frequently, the reasons best known to you,” said Deb.
Deb also wanted to know as to who helped prime accused and his associate to avail a room in the State Guest House in Dehradun in BJP-ruled Uttarakhand.
“We believe that without the involvement and recommendation made by any influential BJP leader, booking State Guest House is not possible as Dehradun has a BJP-ruled Government,” Deb said.
