The advisory asked people not indudge in taking pictures/videos of intimate moments or of private acts, which will attract the penal provisions of voyeurism under Section 354 IPC with a punishment for a term of one-three years while posting or circulating or transmitting or publishing any objectionable pictures or videos containing obscenity or any sexually explicit act in any social networking platforms will attract penal provisions of of Section 67 and 67A of IT Act, 2000 with a punishment for a term of five-seven years.
