Tiger scare in Nuapada village again; Woman, granddaughter injured


Bhubaneswar: Tiger scare has once again gripped Haladi village under Khariar Road block in Nuapada district as a big cat entered into the village late on Sunday night and attacked villagers.

According to information, two persons, an old woman and her granddaughter, were severely injured in the tiger’s attack. They have been admitted in the district headquarters hospital (DHH), Nuapdada.

Forest officials from Nuapada and Khariar Road have reached Haladi village and are searching for the tiger.

It may be noted that a four-year-old boy named ‘Chhagan’ of the village was snatched away from his mother’s lap during a sleep and mauled by a tiger last month. People are in a State of fear since then.
