Sushant Singh Rajput begins training at NASA this month for ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’

Sushant Singh Rajput is all set to head to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) by the month-end as part of his prep for Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan’s ‘Chanda Mama Door Ke’, being touted as India’s first space odyssey.
The actor will train at NASA from July 21 to 24 as it revolves around a team of astronauts whose mission brings the country together.
Sushant will undergo training in the spacesuit designed by John Palmer, practice the moonwalk and experience zero gravity, fly a space shuttle simulator and learn other simulations programmes when at NASA. R Madhavan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui also feature in the film.
Over the last few weeks, speculation has been rife that the film has been shelved. Producer Viki Rajani refutes this, saying, “We were to flag off in May-June but will now start shooting by the end of September or early October. In the coming week, the international technical crew is flying down to Mumbai. We have been working on it for a year now but big films take time. We didn’t want to make a mess by starting off without proper planning.”
He goes on to add that the film will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad as well as in international studios. “It’s an Indian movie at heart, a patriotic film,” he signs off.
