Bhubaneswar: Even as 14 days have passed since Patnagarh parcel bomb incident that killed a newlywed youth and his grandmother and left daughter-in-law severely injured, the Bolangir police have not yet found any clue.
The Bolangir police are now drawing a sketch of those who had sent the parcel at the Skyking Courier office at Raipur on February 15 in the address of Soumyasekhar Sahu and Rimarani Sahu, Patnagarh, Bhubaneswar. The police are making sketches on the basis of narration done by staffs of the courier service.
According to reports, four teams of police are now conducting investigations at four different places in and outside Odisha. The teams have already conducted probes at Bengaluru, Raipur, Bolangir and Boudh.
So far, it is revealed that Soumyasekhar had received a threat call before marriage that he would be killed if he marries Rimarani. The police have also started investigation to know the person who had made the call to Soumyasekhar.
Though the police detained and interrogated a youth of Boudh district’s Kantabada area for four days, yet he was released yesterday with an indication that the investigating officers could not find any clue from him.
It may be noted that the parcel gift exploded when it was opened by Soumyasekhar in their House at Patnagarh on February 23. In the explosion, Soumyasekhar and his grandmother were killed and Rimarani is battling for life at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The couple had married on February 19.
