Bhubaneswar: A special team of the Bolangir police on Saturday conducted an investigation at an internet cafe at Mahabirpada, Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi distirct in connection with the Patnagarh parcel bomb incident that killed a newlywed youth and his grandmother and left daughter-in-law severely injured a fortnight ago.
According to reports, the police had got some clue during server tracking of the Skyking courier service at Kolkata conducted for three days till Friday. The police are examining records of internet cafe for the last 15 days.
The Bolangir police are also drawing sketches of those who had sent the parcel at the Skyking Courier office at Raipur on February 15 Addressing Soumyasekhar Sahu, Patnagarh, Bhubaneswar. The police are making sketches on the basis of narration of staffs of the courier service.
So far, it is revealed that Soumyasekhar had received a threat call before marriage that he would be killed if he marries Rimarani. The police have also started investigation to know the person who had made the call to Soumyasekhar.
It may be noted that the parcel gift exploded when it was opened by Soumyasekhar in their House at Patnagarh on February 23. In the explosion, Soumyasekhar and his grandmother were killed and Rimarani is battling for life at the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. The couple had married on February 19.
