Bhubaneswar: The State Government is actively considering augmentation of manpower in police stations and traffic management as well as induction of modern gadgets and applications into policing in the Commissionerate Police, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
“We are aware of the difficulties faced by police in maintaining law and order in the twin city. I reiterated our commitment to strengthening capabilities and enable Police Commissionerate to achieve its aims and objectives.
Besides strengthening the PCR system, my government is actively considering augmentation of manpower in police stations and traffic management as well as induction of modern gadgets and applications into policing,” said Patnaik addressing at the 9th Raising Day of the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police.
Lauding the Police Commissionerate for delivering prompt services, including response to law and order situation, quick detection of crimes along with proactive measures for prevention of offences and built a people-friendly image, Patnaik said, “I commended the Commissionerate of police for its bold steps in demolishing organised crime and tackling tender-fixing and extortion. Action against hardcore criminals has considerably improved law and order situation in the twin City.”
