Bhubaneswar: The Ministry of Railways have suspended two Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel for mercilessly beating up a physically-challenged man at the Balasore railway station recently.

Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu has tweeted this.

“I had taken immediate cognizance of the case, had ordered enquiry. Subsequently, two RPF personnel responsible have been put under suspension,” tweeted Prabhu.

It may be noted that, in a video clip, three policemen and another man were seen hitting the man with their boots with the victim lying on the ground on platform No-4 with his crutches.

The incident had come to the fore after Parthasarathi Jena, a social worker from the Balia area here, captured the inhuman incident on his mobile phone and shared it with media.
