Bhubaneswar: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today filed nomination papers for Rajya Sabha election in Madhya Pradesh.
“Filed my nomination papers for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in the presence of CM of MP, Shivraj Singh Chouhan ji, Senior Cabinet Colleague Thawarchand Gehlot ji, Senior State BJP Leaders and party karykartas at the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly today,” Pradhan, who hails from Odisha, said in his facebook page.
He also expressed his sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah and MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan for choosing him to represent Madhya Pradesh.
“I will keep working hard for welfare of people of MP, Odisha and the whole country,” said Pradhan.
Pradhan will contest the Rajya Sabha polls from Madhya Pradesh this time. The term of Pradhan, who was elected to the Upper House from Bihar, expires on April 2. The BJP on Wednesday renominated eight retiring members, including seven ministers, for the March 23 Rajya Sabha polls.
