Bhubaneswar: BJD vice-president and Minister Damodar Rout today took a dig at BJP national president Amit Shah over a report that the company owned by his son Jay Shah recorded a massive 16,000-times increase in turnover in just a year, saying Shah is a satta bepari (gambling dealer).
“He (Amit Shah) is a gambler. The property or company turnover has been increased due to gambling. This achievement does not belong to Amit Shah’s son. He is solely responsible for the 16,000-time increase in annual turnover as he is gambler. He is doing business in the name of his son,” alleged the BJD veteran.
He further said that since CBI is under the jurisdiction of the Centre, CBI probe will solve no purpose. Earlier during the visit of Amit Shah to Odisha last month, Rout said that the former is behaving like a ‘statta bepari.’
Sources said Amit Shah’s son’s company post a turnover of Rs 80.5 crore in year by recording 16,000-times increase in annual turnover.
