Bhubaneswar: A day before Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, also the BJD president, is scheduled to meet Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi to discuss issues related to the IOCL on Friday, BJD vice-president and Minister Damodar Rout expressed resentment over the CM’s proposed talks with Pradhan.
Rout, a strong critic of the Union Minister Pradhan who is the most prominent face of teh BJP in the Odisha, said that the CM could have summoned Dharmendra Pradhan for discussion.
“As per protocol, the CM could have summoned Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for discussion,” the Agriculture Minister said.
As per official sources, the two leaders would discuss about the tax dispute between the State Government and the IOCL. Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi, Development Commissioner R Balkrishnan and Finance Secretary TK Pandey would also attend the meeting.
