Bhubaneswar: Members of the IAS Officers’ Association, Odisha unit and OAS Officers’ Association today met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik demanding action against those who attacked 2000-batch IAS officer VK Pandian’s house on Saturday.
Strongly condemning the attack on the official residence of private secretary to the Chief Minister by BJP activists on Saturday, the Odisha branch of the IAS Officers’ Association and OAS Officers’ Association maintained that such attacks will prevent them from discharging their duty in a free and fair manner.
They submitted a memorandum to the CM seeking prompt action against the accused.
On Sunday, an extraordinary meeting of the IAS Officers’ Association presided over by Agriculture Production Commissioner BK Dhal was held to fine tune future course of action.
On Saturday morning accusing Pandian, a 2000-batch IAS officer of madding in politics violating service code, some BJP workers barged into the residence of the IAS officer and hurled cow dung at the bureaucrat’s Government accommodation, damages some flower pots while raising slogans against him.
