The Israeli Foreign Ministry’s Digital Diplomacy team tweeted pictures of the flower.

Earlier today, Modi landed in Tel-Aviv, where got a red-carpet welcome from none other than Benjamin Netanyahu, his Israeli counterpart and the chairman of the Likud party.

Netanyahu told Modi Israel had waited almost seventy years for his unprecedented visit. “Aapka swaagat hai mere dost,” he said.

Modi later paid respects to Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern Zionism, and to the victims of the Holocaust – or the Shoah, the genocide of around six million European Jews by Adolf Hitler’s Nazi regime and those who colloborated with it.
