13 sheep killed by unknown animal in Bhanjanagar

Bhanjanagar: The mysterious animal once again killed sheep  in Bhanjanagar area of Ganjam district, putting locals in a state of fear.

According to information, as many as 13 sheep were killed in Kupati village near Gyaleri under the Bhanjanagar block late on Sunday night.

The unknown animal had reportedly killed 12 sheep in Badapathar village of area on Saturday night. Interestingly, all the sheep were mauled at chests and livers were found missing.

It may be noted that the scar of sheep killing has kept Cuttack district’s Niali for the last two months as ewes and lambs are being killed by the unidentified animal almost every day.

Apart from Niali, sheep have also been reportedly killed in Kalahandi, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapada districts in the same way as seen in Niali area.
